Past Exhibition

The largest and the most prestigious wireless conference in Japan, EXPO COMM WIRELESS JAPAN, held from 13 to 15 July 2005 in Tokyo, celebrated its 10th anniversary this year.

The exhibition featured over 180 of the world's leading suppliers and drew the attentions of nearly 35,000 visitors, showing the high level of interest in wireless communications.

In a decade which followed the development of Japan's wireless technology industry, the expo has gained a high reputation from industry professionals in accommodating cutting-edge technologies, products, services and solutions to the amazing advances in wireless networks.

At the exhibition, Renesas Technology focused on promoting the SH-Mobile platform and the various multimedia solutions provided from SH-Mobile Consortium partners.

Responding to the arrival of the digital network age, Renesas and its partners showcased the latest mobile solutions which integrated telecommunications and multimedia applications based on SH-Mobile technology.

The widespread availability of digital wireless networks will provide opportunities to expand a "ubiquitous society", in which anyone can enjoy connecting to digital networks anytime and anywhere.

WIRELESS JAPAN provided ample opportunities to illustrate achievable possibilities of the SH-Mobile processor, and was presented to visitors as the de facto development platform for the next generation of mobile phones.
